Knowledgeable and motivated regional representatives are sought to serve growing markets. Representatives will identify and work with potential customers which may benefit from on-site gas production. Typical prospects may benefit from substituting on-site-produced nitrogen and/or oxygen for vaporized bulk liquid products or from using on-site-produced gas to meet new demand. 

Preferred candidates will have a background in technical sales and marketing, be familiar with the most common industrial gases (nitrogen, oxygen, argon and / or carbon dioxide) and with industries which routinely use these gases.  Project management, project engineering, systems engineering and construction / startup support personnel. 

Project managers and engineers participate throughout the entire project life cycle from concept/ proposal development through detail design, procurement, construction, commissioning and customer acceptance. They also assist with plant performance assessments, trouble-shooting and optimization. Construction and startup support personnel assist in the execution and startup of sale-of-equipment and turnkey air separation plant construction projects, including plants to be owned and operated by UCG. 

Candidates must have significant industrial gases industry experience and the ability to communicate effectively, recognize critical path activities and prioritize accordingly; and to work cooperatively with customers, suppliers, internal resources and outsourced support services personnel.

 

 

Project Technicians and Administrative Support

 

UIG - Universal Industrial Gases, Inc. seeks project technicians and administrative personnel to support development and execution of air separtion plant projects

 

 

UIG is seeking project technicians / administrative support personnel to work with and assist home office project management personnel during all phases of project development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.

This position does not require a technical degree. It does require good communication skills, the ability to pay close attention to critical details, the ability to organize data and prioritize multiple tasks, reasonable proficiency with Word and Excel, and, above all, having a proactive and responsible team approach to problem solving and achieving goals. 

Job activities will include a mix of routine tasks and high-priority activities. Typical tasks will include assisting with preparation of procurement documents, monitoring/ expediting procurement activities, and assistance with project accounting and scheduling functions. Responsibilities can be tailored to individual skills and experience. Candidates with significant experience in a similar role in the industrial gases industry, a closely-related chemical process industry, engineering or data management organization are of particular interest.  

 

 

Industrial Gas Plant Engineering and Design Personnel

 

UIG - Universal Industrial Gases, Inc. seeks experienced air separtion process engineers and detail design personnel for oxygen, nitrogen and argon production - as both gas and liquid products

 

 

Industrial gases plant engineering personnel with various specialty skills participate in the design of new oxygen, nitrogen and air separation plants and liquefiers, and relocation, modification and upgrade of used plants.  They also participate in development of  process and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment and plant component specifications for vessels and piping, instrumentation, control and  electrical systems, machinery, structures and foundations. 

Job functions will also include participation in preparation of procurement documents, bid evaluation, order placement, vendor / contractor auditing and expediting activities, plant performance assessments and trouble-shooting. 

 

 

Industrial Gas Plant Operations Management and Support

 

Universal Cryo Gas - Onsite Gas Supplier - producing nitrogen, oxygen and argon as gas and liquid products

 

 

Experienced operations and maintenance coordination personnel are needed to support expansion of Home Office management services and to provide technical, operational, maintenance and procurement support to local operations personnel at UCG onsite gas and liquid industrial gas production facilities. Responsibilities will include participation in plant design teams, training of local operations and maintenance personnel, and participation in commissioning and startup activities. 

Preferred candidates will have significant industrial gas industry experience in operating plants, good communication skills, and a proactive and responsible team approach to solving problems when they arise.
